Scholarship Application
Purpose:
To assist eligible students to obtain an undergraduate education.
Benefits:
An annual scholarship grant in the form of a check is made payable to the applicant and the school. In recent years the value of the grant has awarded up to $1,200. Applicants must reapply annually.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be an unmarried, dependant son or daughter or grandchild of an association member who served in the 2d Marine Division or a unit attached to one of its subordinate commands such as hospital corpsmen, aviation, logistics, and other attached units.
At the time of application, the student must be a senior in high school, a high school graduate, or currently enrolled as a full time student in an accredited college, vocational school or technical school.
The applicant’s family income, i.e., adjusted gross income, should not exceed $70,000.00 for the taxable year preceding the school year for which assistance is requested.
